CANNON BEACH

On our way home we stopped by Cannon Beach to look at Haystack Rock. However, John told Daniel he could get as wet as he wanted and they played in the ocean for at least an hour. We didn't get to see all the little sea creatures because it wasn't low tide but we managed to have fun anyways. Then, we found the bakery and bought Hazel Haystack bread.

TRAVELING BACK TO WASHINGTON

Boy it has been fun but I am ready to get back to John's childhood home. We left Cannon Beach about 3:00 pm so we should be able to get home by 8:00 or 9:00. On the way home, we stopped by Cascade Locks to visit our favorite burger shop with the incredibly huge ice cream cones and throw the baseball around. We had a good trip home.

Happy Father's Day at the beach

Today is the day to honor fathers. John decided that he would like to spend his Father's day at the beach. We drove up on Saturday and then spent Father's Day at the beach after we went to church of course.

Mr. P's Sports Camp is soooo fun!

Daniel is attending a sports camp put on by his P.E. teacher, Mr. P. He has a blast every day. He learns and plays lots of different sports with waterday on Thursdays. Daniel has taken a shine to one of Mr. P's sons (Adam) who helps with the younger kids. I don't know what we would do without it. It's a perfect activity for his early afternoons.

A TRIP TO THE LAKE

We want to sell our jetski (boo! hoo!) to add to our adoption fund. But we needed to make sure that it was still running well after the winter season. That means a fun trip to the beach. Michael and Kate came with us and Courtney stayed home to clean her house in peace and quiet. It was really fun. Kate wore Daniel's old lifejacket and it was a little big. It pretty much covered her whole body and controlled her every move. Daniel of course loved the water being a little fish and such.

Best Friends

I was a little worried when Kate Edden entered the world. Daniel was so excited but did he realize how much his world was going to chance. Courtney was his second mom and now he would have to share her attention with a baby and mine. And she wouldn't be any fun for at least at couple of years for him to play with. Boy was I wrong. He has adored her from Day 1 and continues to plot to get her to our home as often and for as long as possible. She feels the same way about him and was yelling "da uh" to get his attention from before she was one. It is so fun having them both here in Arizona where they can have a real sense of family close around.
