Thanks for visiting our blog. To answer your question, the dossier is supposed to be good to go when it is submitted. We sent a couple updated documents to our facilitator last month, so that all of our paperwork would be current at the time of submission. In very rare cases, the SDA will ask for a particular dossier document to be redone. For instance, last month one family (adopting a known special needs child) was submitted and given a date, despite the fact that the SDA disliked one word on their medical forms and required them to send new ones asap. When the SDA received the new medical forms from them, their travel date was moved up to an earlier date. It is your facilitator's (or agency if you're not going independent)job to check your dossier before submission to be sure that it is complete and current. They should tell you if they need anything updated or changed. Since some documents take time to get, I'd recommend that you inquire of them now to see if you need to be working on anything.
I don't think I've ever noticed that you're in Mesa. We live in Scottsdale. How many kids are you hoping to adopt? What ages? Boys or girls? We're praying for two little girls under age 6.
